The Bug is getting Big

The Bug finished the school year with a fantastic play (playing Hansel in a "fractured fairytale" version of Hansel and Gretel), a yummy last day strawberry shortcake party at Drumlin Farm a great end of the soccer season and Kindergarten Prep graduation (with Grandad, Nana, and Geni cheering him on!).  Our big guy is ready for big things--up next, camp and kindergarten!

Nana's Cabin Birthday

We celebrated Nana's birthday by joining her and a wonderful group of friends for a weekend in the mountains in Virginia.  She was delighted by the surprise that Uncle Tom and Aunt Miki would be joining us as well.

Spring in...Wayland and Newton

We moved from Wayland to Newton in mid-May and are slowly but surely settling into a less semi-rural life.  We hear cars and trains, we see dogs and people walking on the sidewalk, we spend more time together and less time commuting, we play with the kids in the neighborhood--and are looking forward to walking David to school in the fall.

The many faces of the Pea

The Pea is more interested than the Bug in having her picture taken these days, so I've been able to capture some of these cute (and not so cute) mugs.  In more than one picture, you might notice that the Pea has taken to wearing one of the Bug's shirts or jackets over her own.  He is kindly obliging her obsession with his clothes, even though she's very partial to his Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle shirt.
